ASHA SIGs: What are they and which one(s) should I join?

jturne03445

The American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) has Special Interest Groups (SIGs) that provide SLPs with a professional learning community and access to the most recent research in special areas of interest. This can be incredibly beneficial for SLPs who want to connect with people with the same passions and get the latest information in the research. The following SIGs might be beneficial to join for SLPs interested in social justice.

- SIG 1: Language Learning and Education

- SIG 14: Cultural and Linguistic Diversity

- SIG 16: School-Based Issues

- SIG 20: Counseling
